Alejandro Fabián Rozenfeld visits CMEC

From 1 June to 22 June, Alejandro Fabián Rozenfeld is visiting CMEC.

Periodically since 2012, Alejandro has been visiting Center for Macroecology, Evolution and Climate, Imperial College of London and Museo de Ciencias Naturales of Madrid. This to develop the computational GIS environment, BioGIS. BioGIS is a platform for visual inspection and analysis of biodiversity data at multiple spatio-temporal scales. It aims to help experts to formulate relevant questions and predict the impact of global change on complex ecosystems.

Alejandro graduated as Ph.D. in Physics (Complex Systems) in 2003 at the National University of La Plata, Argentina. Since 2010 he has been Associated Professor at “Universidad del Centro”, Engineering Department, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

He is member of the LINC Global (International Laboratory on Global Change) performing numerical simulations and modelling of future environmental scenarios in order to assess the impacts of global change on macro-ecology
